2020/04/03 11:30 Elliott and I facetimed with the baby Abigail this morning.
2020/04/01 22:00 My friend Matt Hull has passed. I went to Miami for Rum Renaissance in 2015. I was by myself and didn’t know very many people there. Matt was there and he knew everybody. He took me under his wing. We went to parties he was invited to and where I was just a tag along. Whenever rum was being poured he would always say, “Pour one for Scott.” “Don’t forget Scott.” We had a bus chartered to take us to the Mai Kai. I was waiting for the bus and someone came up behind me and put their hand in my pants pocket – it was Matt putting little bottles of rum in my pocket, “For the bus ride!” He made me feel so accepted. Matt was a good friend and a good man and he will be missed. Whenever I think of him I know I will hear him saying “Pour one for Scott.”

This is the latest iteration of my rants, rambles, and ravings. Is anything new? Does any of it matter? I will probably share way too much information. I am maybe as weird as I have ever been. I am sure that I am still incredibly boring. Is there any point to any of this? If you decide to keep reading and you feel later that you wasted your time I don’t think I will be sorry. It was your decision to read on and I do not feel responsible.
What is an Ides? The Ides is actually a day that comes almost every month, not just in March. The ancient Roman calendar had months divided into groupings of days counted before certain named days. The Kalends was the beginning of the month. The Ides was the middle with the Nones between them. The Ides of each month were sacred to Jupiter, the Romans' supreme deity. In modern times, the Ides of March is best known as the date on which Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC.
