2017/10/07 17:00 Just saw "My Little Pony: the Movie" with Alice. A super fantastic film. An epic adventure. Story for the ages. Wish it had been in Imax 3D. Eagerly awaiting the sequel.

2017/09/30 17:00 Apple picking today.
2017/09/08 14:00 I went to the trash and recycling facility yesterday. In addition to the normal trash and recyclables I had a lawn chair. The chair was metal with a fabric cover. The fabric was ripped. I was throwing the chair into the metal recycling when I was accosted by a woman I guess was about 80 years old. She tried to convince me to save the chair and find someone to repair the fabric. She confessed to me that almost every time she visits the trash and recycling facility she leaves in tears over the things people throw out. She was like an evangelical preacher but instead of trying to save souls she was trying to save lawn chairs, smelly rugs, and broken lamps.
Starting to put down the concrete pavers. Karen is in charge of installing the pavers. She is really good at leveling things.

2017/09/30 22:00 Today is Karen's birthday. I found this on her nightstand. I think it is some kind of cosmetic for the sixty plus woman to have baby soft skin.
2017/09/18 14:00 Working on the grilling platform today.
2017/10/02 17:00 At Elliott's house. Playing a little baseball.

2017/09/17 17:00 We closed the pool up on schedule this year. It was a cooler summer than usual. So, now that the pool is closed it is a hot summer day. Turned on the sprinkler.
My grills used to sit on the ground. I didn’t like that they would get muddy and they weren’t level. I put a three-quarter inch sheet of pressure treated plywood on the ground and put the grills on it. That solved the mud problem but they still weren’t level. I put together a 2x4 frame and put the plywood on that. I raised the whole thing up when I set it on blocks. My grilling platform was now level and mud was not an issue. But my grilling platform needs to evolve. Grilling for me has always been a peaceful and tranquil time. When I am grilling outdoors with a cold beer or a super delicious cocktail in hand my cares and worries leave me. It is a time for quiet reflection. With my grilling platform now a few inches off the ground I can see the asshat next door over my privacy fence. This kind of ruins the whole experience. So I am going to erect a wind break/ privacy screen to remedy that situation. Also, I now realize the platform is not big enough. I need to add some things to the platform including some more grills. I am going to add some concrete pavers on the ground and move one or two grills off the platform.
2017/09/16 22:00 We went to Alexandria Bay and to Boldt Castle today.
It took me two days to cut all the wood.
My first selfie with the little baby Grant Scott.
2017/09/19 15:00 More work on the grilling platform.
2017/09/08 20:00 Elliott's Mom was in labor and busy having a new baby so he was staying with us. We took him to Wegmans for dinner at the new Burger Bar. Then some shopping in the store.
I think Elliott was afraid that I was going to fall off. He kept yelling at me, "Two hands Pop!"

2017/09/24 16:30 Work on the grilling platform continues.
Working inside today. Khan Tiki Mon's Bar and Lounge is getting a total remodel. Gutting the old space right down to the studs.
My gutters collect a lot of crap. I purchased top of the line leaf guards from a company I saw at the fair. The gutter guards cost more than the gutters. The contractors came out and cleaned the gutters and installed the guards. They are maintenance free and come with a lifetime warranty.
2017/09/22 12:00 Elliott helped me plant two Rose of Sharon bushes today. Purple flowers.
2017/10/02 18:00 We went to the Get Air trampoline park today.

This latest iteration of my rants and rambles will still be much like past versions. I will continue to share way too much information. I will continue to be as weird as always. I am most likely still incredibly boring.
2017/09/02 23:00 Went to the Great NY State Fair today.
Elliott at the hospital on his way to meet his new little brother.
“You expected to be sad in the fall. Part of you died each year when the leaves fell from the trees and their branches were bare against the wind and the cold, wintery light. But you knew there would always be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person died for no reason.”
- Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast
