2017/08/30 14:30 After swim siesta time.

I loved "CatDog". My wife hated it and we got into arguments over it. Cat and Dog shared intestines and so when Dog ate something spicy Cat got heartburn. My wife would argue that they didn't have an anus and so they would just die. I argued that they were a cartoon. I got every episode of "CatDog" on DVD and turned the grandkids onto it. But what do I know. In the hotel last night I was tasked with putting the two year old to sleep watching YouTube videos on my phone. Started out with his favorite, "Dino Dana", but switched to Tiki Bar TV - Dr. Tiki, Johnny Johnny, and Lala. He loved the 'bunnies' drinking game.

2017/08/03 18:00 Spent the day at the Magic Forest, an amusement park from the early 1960s that time has forgotten. Had a wonderful time and the kids loved it. A lot of the workers were in their mid to late 70s by my estimation, There was one maintenance worker walking with a cane in one hand and a cordless drill in the other. Another old maintenance worker approached him and said they needed to fix something or other - didn't catch what. First worker asked, "Duct tape or hose clamps?" Second worker, "Duct tape won't hold." First worker, "Hose clamps it is."

2017/08/04 22:00 The Polynesian dinner show got canceled because of the power outage. A couple of ribeyes - one for me and one for the boy - at the Adirondack Brew Pub.

2017/08/13 23:30 Home safe and sound. Just barely. I was on the interstate in western NY when the traffic came to a stop. I couldn't stop and I was going to hit the car in front of me even though I was standing on the brakes. I swerved and went between the car and a tractor-trailer. I missed the car but I brushed up against the semi. The driver of the truck had thick accent. Not sure where he was from. All I did was scuff the running board. He called his boss and they spoke in a foreign language I didn't know what it was. The driver sent a picture of the scuff mark to his boss and I guess the boss said that it looked like $750 in damage and did I want to give them my credit card so they could charge me? I said no and then insisted we call the cops and turn it into our insurance agents. I would have been content to drive on. I ended up with a ticket when the po-po showed up for failing to stay in my lane. Of course if I had stayed in my lane I would have hit the poor guy in front of me pretty hard.

Took the kids to the Frankenstein wax museum. It had just closed because the power was out. We were told if we went in it would cost double because it was twice as scary with the lights out.

It’s Thursday and I just posted my video for this week. I went to an art museum in Utica to see an exhibition called “Cocktail Culture”. As boring as it sounds. Sorry. I hope next week will be more exciting and more interesting. Don’t give up on me yet.

2017/08/19 14:30 Took the kids on a nature walk on the Old Erie Canal. Elliott's pants kept falling down. Tristan's armpits got moist. Alice was lava. They voted to quit and get ice cream and then go swimming. Alice skinned her knee but didn't drop her ice cream.

2017/08/27 10:00 It is our anniversary. Been married to the same woman for 34 years. We said for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health. Been there and done all that. Still my best friend.

It feels like Summer is done. Weather wise it hasn’t been much of a Summer. Too much rain and too cool. Life speeds by. Life speeds by and the rants, rambles, and ravings continue.
